Tuesday November 4th. Hope that helps.
He was looking towards April, but now he thinks he might not be fit enough to play any this season. He says he wants to be 100% sure that he is fit instead of risking injury again by coming back to play too early. He should be running in the next few weeks though, so we’ll have to see what rehab will do in the next coming months.
I would think towards the end of the season or the beginning of next. Will he be the same? Unfortunately I think its unlikely – the length of time he’s been out gives a clue as to the severity – I think some reduction in mobility is inevitable.
I love Michael, but I don’t think he should come back to play. It was really hurtfull to see him fall last year. I think he is done.
i think his career is over! he belonged at lpool when he moved everythin went rong! england has lost 2 of its best players! owen + bex!!!
wohoo go man u
Next season
The Geordies really need him, and Ameobi, and Parker, and the other 5 players who are injured, but its kind of funny!
The Geordies play terrible with their best players, but kick @ss with their makeshift squad
He’ll be back next season playing club football.
who is he,,ive forgoten
On his 40th Birthday.
Don’t expect to see him until next season now. His recovery is going well but there is no reason why they should risk him as Newcastle are neither in the European hunt nor in a relegation chase.
He’ll get a full pre-season under his belt and be raring to go for the 07/08 campaign.
As to whether or not he’ll be the same, he’ll lose a half yard of pace no doubt but he’ll still be a top class striker.
It’s not to say so as this will depend on how fast it will take him to recover and be fit enough to play but there is no doubt he will play again in this premiership.
Thanx!
Shearer said on TV last night that Owen might be fit by the end of March, but he didn’t think that Newcastle would play him until next season in case he has a set back.
Cruciate ligaments until 10 years ago where considered a career ending injury, so its probably best to let him recover, but he may never be the same again.
even when he returns some day in the distant future he will never be the same player again. Caution will always be in his game for fear of having THE career ending injury.
When snow turns black and charcoal white!
next season
Course he will be the same player – look at Ruud Van Nistelrooy – he had the same injury and if anything he became a better player !
If Newcastle get to the latter stages of the UEFA cup I can see him coming back before the end of the season – if not he will start playing competitive football again at the start of next season.
