What Can Be Done To Correct A Misaligned Pelvis Besides Exercises?

After suddenly getting sever sciatica earlier this year (I am now semi recovered),i was refered to a physiothrapist who told me i had a subtly misaligned pelvis, she has been giving me excercies, today after my session my misaligned pelvis was visibly sockingly wonky. (My left leg is aroung 8cm higher than my right), just a few weeks previously it was more subtle, now she has refered me to a specialist.
What can they do to correct a misaligned pelivs, besides excercises, as they just don’t seem to be doing anything, in fact making it worse.

    I have not had any luck with physiotherapy. I have gone twice for two separate issues (upper back pain, TMJ/Jaw issues), years apart and different agencies and both times I was worse then when I started.
    I had my best luck with DO’s. Doctors of Osteopathy are medical doctors that go for another year of school to learn holistic healing and manipulation. When you find a DO be sure to ask if they do manipulation – not all do.
    Other possibilities are certified massage therapist, chiropractor, and acupuncture (they can relieve muscle tension that is causing the pelvis to be misaligned) and stretching.
    I was in an auto accident many years ago and my DO told me I was crooked. My whole body was shifted at the pelvis. Along with manipulation he gave me these stretches to do. I was to do some mild stretching (reach to ceiling then toe touching), then for the ’short’ side I was to lie on half on a bed or couch and have the ’short’ leg hang over for about 20-30 seconds. Get up, stretch again, and then go to the bed again. I did this about 5 times a day. It helped me.
    I prefer non-invasive procedures vs. invasive ones.

    You’d have to speak to the specialist to be certain but I think they can do surgery for it. I know a couple of people that have gone to various forms of yoga to stretch the spinal muscles and realign them for something similar. I don’t know if that would help you but it would be better than any kind of surgery. Hope you find a solution that works for you. Good luck.

    I see a Chiropractor for mine. Initially I went in for adjustments 3 times a week. Now I average 1 every week to week and a half. It also helps with my headaches and upper back pain.
