What Happens To A Case If I Was Misdiagnoised And The Injury Was Not Discovered Or Documented Right Away?

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

I have suffered with pain and anxiety from a car accident .My injury was from a front end impact accident when a person ran a red light and caused the accident. My car was totaled and I am still without a car.No xrays were taken of my hips which is a recent discovery.they took xrays of my entire back and neck ,lft knee, and foot which I have suffered for months with pain when I walked. Physical therapy only worsened my pain.when I am inactive it gets better. walking aggrivates my pain and the more I walk the worse it gets. Tell me why no xrays were taken of my hip area, when my leg had such impact in this accident?

I Have Sciatica In My Left Thigh, What Can I Do To Take The Pain Away?

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

If it is true sciatica, it can be helped by a massage therapist and or physical therapist.
I’m a licensed massage therapist. I’ve helped countless people get rid of their sciatic pain and keep it away permanently. See a competent therapist in your area.
If it is not true sciatica and it’s actually coming from an impinged nerve in your back I would recommend seeing a chiropractor first. A chiropractor can often cure sciatic pain with adjustments. Sometimes they will recommend massage or physical therapy in conjunction.
B-6 and Niacin taken at the same time have done wonders for my raw nerves. This is supposed to help rebuild the protective sheath that surrounds many nerves in your body.
A back surgeon will most likely recommend surgery first, this should be your last resort in my opinion. Results are not certain and can cause more problems that are sometimes permanent.
Not sure if you have true sciatica; a competent chiropractor, massage therapist, or physical therapist can do a simple test to tell. If they don’t know the test, go see someone else.
Hope this helps.

Sciatica – Any Top Tips For Helping And Does It Go Away?

Friday, December 11th, 2009

My doctor said just last week that the best way to relieve the pain is to lie stair-step fashion: back flat on the floor, thighs up along the legs or front of a chair or sofa, and lower legs along the seat of the chair or sofa. All at 90 degree angles. He said just hang out like that for 30-45 minutes, reading or watching TV, will relieve the pressure and pain.
For treatment, he recommended some exercises:
Knee to shoulder stretches: Lie on your back on a firm surface with knees bent and feet flat; pull on knee to your chest with both hands, hold for 15-30 seconds. Return to starting position and repeat with the other leg. Repeat with each leg 3-4 times
Cat stretch: Get down on the floor on hands and knees (baby crawling position). Slowly let your back and abdomen sag to the floor. Then arch your back away from the floor. Repeat several times.
Shoulder blad squeeze: Sit upright in a chair. With chin tucked in and shoulders down, pull your shoulder blades together and straighten upper back. Hold for a few seconds. Return to starting position. Repeat several times.
Half situp: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat. With arms outstretched, reach toward your knees until your shoulder blades don’t touch the ground. Don’t go so far as to grasp knees. Hold a few seconds then slowly return to starting position. Repeat several times.
Leg lifts: Lie face down on a firm surface with a large pillow under your hips and tomach. Keeping one knee bent, lift that leg slightly off the surface and hold for about 5 seconds. Then with leg straightened out, lift again and hold for 5 seconds. Repeat with other leg. Repeat both sides about 10 times.
Feel better!

Will My Sciatica Ever Go Away?

Monday, November 30th, 2009

I have this burning pain around 2 bulging discs in my lower spine. I have had it for 6 months now radiating to the right side of my left leg and feet. I feel like I have imbalance in my whole left leg especially my buttock. I go to an osteopath and his treatment helped a lot but not completely. Will the pain ever go away? I can’t take it any more. Any advise?
