About 8-9 Wks. Pregnant With First. Too Early For Sciatica?
I’m not sure if I should schedule a dr. appointment or not. It just seems like it’s a little early for anything to be putting pressure on that nerve. Could anyone help me?

Ok…my dad has been having this huge pain in his knee and it is bothering him a lot. We went to the doctors and finally realized it was a pinched nerve or Sciatica. What should my dad do to get rid of the pain.

Advice About Sciatica Please?
Hey,
Im nearly 30 weeks pregnant and I have had sciatica since the beginning of my pregnancy!
Last night it was so bad, I couldn’t get out of my car without my partners help and as soon as I lay down, I couldn’t even turn over let alone get out of bed!
It is so sore, does anyone have any advice about it? I asked my mifwife and she said its just something you have to suffer through and I tried going to a physio but it didn’t help.
Thanks for any answers

What Can I Do About Sciatica In Late Pregnancy? I Can Barely Walk Sometimes.?
Try physio therapy and massage. The physio will help with stretching and providing relief from the pain. Also, massage that targets the muscles that are being affected by the sciatic condition. For me, it was my buttocks, my leg and calf muscles. The messages always brought relief for me. Also, in physio, you will be provided with techniques for stretching the areas that are deeply affected by the pain.
Also, your other choice is to try a chiropractor. Since you’re pregnant, he will not do manual manipulation on you. He can use an activator which helps manipulate the areas needed to be treated with out the twisting and contracting. This will also bring great relief. A chiropractor will inform you on how he can treat you effectively with therapy and heat.
I hope this helps! It certainly helped me. Best wishes to you.
PS…contrary to belief, the best thing you can do is keep moving! If you can go for small walks, you’ll be doing yourself a great service. The worst thing for sciatica is sitting around. It truly makes it worse. Trust me…I’ve been through this. I know what it feels like and moving, chiropractic and deep massage brought much needed relief.

Can Sitting At A Computer All Day (for About Two Years) With Bad Posture Cause Sciatica?
Sciatica is not always caused by pressure on the disc. Sciatica is a descriptive term and it may be caused by muscle problems (piriformis syndrome) or from sacroiliac joint problems as well as disc pressure. All of these may be aggravated by sitting for extended periods.
Posture is important. There are some supports you can use to help with your seating. Also, a nice product called posture curve is a posture exerciser used behind the back while sitting.
If seat or posture modification does not help, you should see a doctor that can differentially diagnose the cause for a more specific approach.
