I Need Help To Relieve Sciatica Pain In My Lower Back?
I’m working in the bush since years but this time my back hurts really bad. Anyone got good stretching exercises links or something to suggest?
Thank you so much!

This is what works for me:
Sit on the floor, bend your knees (kind of like you are going to sit cross legged but don’t cross your feet) and put the bottom of your feet together, with your hands, slowly pull your feet (together) towards your crotch, then slowly bend your upper body forward and hold for a few seconds. You’ll feel a little pull while doing this. Release, bend again. Hold. Repeat this about 5-10 times. I suffer from Sciatic periodically and this has always helped me.
The one suggestion that helped me the most was to always sleep on my side, not my stomach at all or my back. It was something I read. My doctor had never recommended it. I have had a sciatic nerve problem since my early 20’s.
This might sound ridiculous, but I swear it works for me when mine gives me problems. I get the blow dryer and put it on low and keep the heat on my back for several minutes. My friend and I came up with that about 12 years ago because I didn’t have a heating pad.
I take ibuprofen (800mg) a few times the first day and maybe on the second day, but it is usually much better by then. When it used to happen, the pain could last for weeks, but now it’s like a day or two at the most.
My pain goes from my back all the way down my leg and without ibuprofen, I just want to be in the hospital. Now as soon as I feel it might be coming on, I take ibuprofen, grab the blow dryer and sleep on whichever side feels more comfortable.
It sounds dumb, but it’s how I’ve learned to handle mine.
If it is sciatica which is a shooting pain down the left or right leg, then the best thing is heat.I get bad sciatic pain and I use a hot water bottle on it.You don’t say your age? I would check with a Chiropractor.
