Advice About Sciatica Please?

Hey,
Im nearly 30 weeks pregnant and I have had sciatica since the beginning of my pregnancy!
Last night it was so bad, I couldn’t get out of my car without my partners help and as soon as I lay down, I couldn’t even turn over let alone get out of bed!
It is so sore, does anyone have any advice about it? I asked my mifwife and she said its just something you have to suffer through and I tried going to a physio but it didn’t help.
Thanks for any answers

  1. Amanda says:

You should be okay to take tylenol (ask your doctor) and apply a heating pad and/or ice pack.
Also, lay down on your side with the painful side up.
I would suggest you just take it easy.
I hope you are not working and try not to stay on your feet for long periods, this can aggravate things.

I have the same problem. I’ve been lunging into that leg and stretching it out – its temporary relief but relieft none the less – once the baby is here it tends to go away, at least it did with my son and now it’s back for this pregnancy.

    Gentle stretching and heating pad.
